My name is Grace Kelsangmetog Cai. I am a 14 years old, and I was born and raised in Boston to a Tibetan-Chinese-American family. I like doing charity to help people live better and happier lives.
I just got the President’s Volunteer Service Award Gold Medal for the year 2020. In the past year, I initiated and participated in the fund raising for Massachusetts General Hospital and Tufts University Hospital. I taught English to the kids in Wuhan, China during the pandemic. I also tutored kids in Boston and Smart kids coding students around world English. I did musical performance at Senior Centers both on site and online. I also volunteer to teach kids at Skating Club of Boston therapeutic program.
I joined smart kids Coding to learn Python for 6 months, my classmates were from Beijing, Singapore, Nanjing, Boston, NewYork, I enjoyed seeing their projects when they presented to class and having thought provoking discussion with them and instructors. I studied hard to learn how to design website and create games with Python, and whenever I came cross a bug in my code, this class challenged my problem solving skills.
I will also attend Chinese American Youth leader Program organized by United Chinese Americans this June.
I recently got admitted to Harvard Medical School Summer camp and the AI Camp founded by Stanford PhDs. To work in the medical field has been my career goal. To learn how artificial intelligence technology will impact the future medical practice is my interest. I will continue to study and work to reach my goal.
I believe my dream will come true in the future.
